The Rainbow celebrating Scotus’s decision(s)

My good friend B. Ireland noted that my display of Dan’s shirts, reflected the rainbow signs that were being put up to celebrate the Scotus decisions Friday, June 26th, relating to marriage equality. Dan voted in favor back in 2008 with his fellow Democrats and NH pulled into the limelight with the first Democratic majority in the House (state house) in 78 years. That body of Democrats made monumental progress, beating VT on that particular legislation. It was those brave souls who laid the ground for the Scotus upholding, and Dan Carr was one of those people that made it happen. He would have been happy and proud that day, which coincidentally was the 3 year anniversary of his death. He would also have been proud of the Obama Care upholding, which both he and I fought for, taking time out from our  lives to gather a team I organized, and make calls to get folks to talk to their senator in CT to support Health Care Reform and the Affordable Care Act. Good Power on.
