Today we head off to Logan Airport in Boston. The last three weeks have been the most exceptional experience for me. We came together to fill an energy vacuum left when Dan Carr, one of two punchcutters in the USA, died, and to transform the energy that resides here in Golgonooza Letter Foundry, at the Punchcutting bench of my best friend, partner and longtime love, to honor him by bringing the life back to the bench, and to work to carry on the craft of making letters by hand, into the future.
I hope Golgonooza Letter Foundry will become an International School of Typography & Letters, here in this unassuming village of Ashuelot, New Hampshire, where there is an amazing assortment of all that is needed to make fine books, and create Typography that comes from the soul, because it comes from the hand.
